Hello, and thank you for reading the Indivisible Bangor newsletter.
There are a LOT of canvassing opportunities this weekend in Bangor, Orono, and Old Town! AND now in BREWER!!!!
But first, I want to mention that we have a new Elections and Voting Resources page that has updated information on your canvassing opportunities for the state-wide offices as well for local offices. It also lists current voting information.
With all the money Elon Musk is gifting Susan Collins and Paul LePage for their campaigns (you have to wonder why Elon wants them in Congress…), talking to voters face-to-face is the best way to earn their support for Democrats up and down the ticket, combat the Elon propaganda, and to really sock it to Collins and LePage!
Check here to go to https://indivisiblebangor.org/voting-resources/. You’ll be glad you did!
And now, this weekend’s action!

Mike Tipping Grassroots Knockfest
Today at 1:00 p.m. in Orono
We are still knocking on doors and reaching Maine voters in the most effective way: face-to-face. The onslaught of AI advertising on social media, along with the nonstop ads on television and radio, don’t give the voter time to think and certainly no opportunity to ask questions. Knocking on a voter’s door and giving time to have a conversation about the candidates and the issues is the best way to cut through the malarky.
Today, Saturday, September 19, in Orono, there is an opportunity to do just that! And all of that is followed by pizza at Pat’s-you can’t lose! See the entry near the end of this newsletter for more info!

Knock Doors for Dani O’Halloran
Our friends in Brewer could really use some help canvassing in Brewer! They write, “Dani O’Halloran is running for re-election to the State House in a district with 400 more registered Republicans than Democrats. But she is the kind of candidate who has won here in Brewer and can win again in this challenging district for a Democrat. And if we are able to get enough direct contacts with the voters, we are confident she has a very good chance to win re-election. But we really need those direct voter contacts.”
Canvassing for Dani is Sunday, September 20, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. For more information, location, and to sign up on Mobilize, click here.
