Action 221: March 28 No Kings

Background: If you do absolutely nothing else this month to save democracy, at least show up at the No Kings rally nearest you. Ezra Levin of Indivisible has made the case persuasively that this is super important (1).

Action: To find your nearest rally, go to https://www.nokings.org, expand the map (+ sign in lower right), and RSVP to your nearest rally. As of this writing, Hancock County shows events in Castine, Deer Isle, Ellsworth, Penobscot, and Southwest Harbor. (Cherryfield, Belfast or Bangor may be closer for some of us.)

There have been many photos from Maine over the last year, but also from all over the nation! It’s very inspiring. Dictators and cult leaders always try to make you feel isolated. They are failing. If we persist – if we unite – democracy WILL overcome the forces of fascistic plutocracy.
